An accurate wheel alignment is critical to avoid rapid tire wear and to maintain the performance of your vehicle's tires. Regular wheel alignments will usually save you as much in tire wear as they cost, and should be considered routine, preventative maintenance.
While often referred to simply as an "alignment", the procedure actually involves highly accurate measurements of complex suspension angles, and the adjustment of a variety of suspension components. An alignment is an important suspension-tuning procedure that greatly influences the operation of the vehicle's tires.
A vehicle is considered out-of-alignment when the suspension and steering systems are not operating at their desired angles. They can also be the result of an impact with a pothole or curb. If you’ve been in an accident, even a minor one, chances are you need an alignment.
Incorrect alignment settings will usually result in more rapid tire wear. Therefore, alignment should be checked whenever new tires or suspension components are installed, and any time unusual tire wear patterns appear.
RS Auto Clinic uses a highly accurate computer-assisted alignment system that uses multiple cameras and sensors to measure and adjust camber, caster, and toe angles to the manufacturer's specifications. A four wheel alignment usually takes about an hour for most cars, and slightly longer for light trucks.
In summary, you should get an alignment:
We also recommend getting your alignment checked every 6 months as part of your routine maintenance.

Did you know?
Did you know that tires can be recycled into a multitude of other products? Including: asphalt, roof shingles, ground mulch, slip-resistant playground flooring, car mats, and even shoes and furniture? We take pride in our environment. We participate in a tire recycling program that diverts used tires from the landfill.
Over the past five years, over 60 million tires have been recycled in Ontario alone.
